Meet The Team
Hello Everyone!!
My name is Christy, and I am the founder of O.P.R.
My experience with the paranormal goes back to my childhood. As I got older and became more curious, I decided to focus my efforts into finding out the "WHY", as well as helping others that may be experiencing some of the same things.
Over the years, I have investigated with and worked with some of the most prestigious names in the field. To name a few of the groups I have worked with: TAPS, Paranormal Cops and Everyday Paranormal. I have also had the pleasure to work with renowned investigator and demonologist, John Zaffis.
Let's not forget to mention some of the most amazing places that I have investigated: TALA (Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum) in Weston, West Virginia. I have investigated there several times in fact and had the pleasure of building a beautiful friendship with the family that now owns it. The Great Escape in Schiller Park, IL as well as the Big Timers Sound Shop, previously known as Casa Madrid in Melrose Park, IL. And the Masonic Temple in Detroit.
I have investigated numerous private homes and businesses as well.
I started this group with a vision to aid the communities. Our focus is on families and businesses that need our assistance. I take pride in this group and believe in delivering the best possible service to those in need. Respect and honesty are at the top of my list and all clients will be treated with such.
Honesty is a big thing in this field, and at times hard to come by. There are groups that will tell you exactly what you want to hear and there are groups that will tell you what you need to hear. We will never tell you what you want to hear.
As specialists in this field, we have a duty to provide full transparency in all our cases,
Because of this approach, we have developed long term friendships with previous clients. That in itself is one of the biggest compliments that we could ever receive.

Rick has been engaged in the paranormal field for several years, and has been exposed to the paranormal since earliest memory, and has lived in more houses with paranormal activity than not in his 40 years. Having had experienced and endured dealing with a negative presence in his home for several years, Rick has taken these experiences, learned from them, in order to assist those experiencing similar issues.
Rick is a native of Grand Rapids where he lives with his wife Kim and two daughters. When he is not consulting in matters of the unseen, Rick attends school for pre-seminary studies, enjoys photography, and spending time with his family.

Hello all, I have been with the group for a couple years now. I have always been interested in doing investigations and looking to understand my own experiences better. Everyone grows up hearing stories in their family about experiences in the paranormal that either they had or family friends have had, but when it happens to you it's exciting and can sometimes be terrifying. I prefer to keep my personal experiences to myself. Though I will say some hit each side of the spectrum.
My desire for answers about the paranormal led me to look into area groups, and OPR was right at the top of the searches every time. So I reached out and contacted them and the rest is history.

Even though I am a lifelong believer in the paranormal, and I am enthusiastic about my membership in Outreach Paranormal Research, I am still very much a skeptic and will never just automatically assume that every bump in the night is because of a ghost. I will always look for the most logical explanation for any suspected activity, it’s just in my nature to do so. There have been times in my own life where I thought something paranormal had happened, but I was able to debunk the event through analytical and logical reasoning. I am a very suspicious person, and I think that lends to the integrity of any observation I might have. You can be rest assured that with the information I might provide, it will be as accurate and as honest as possible. Even when I was serving in the military, I was known for my integrity and always being willing to tell the hard truth, regardless of what the consequences might be. With that said though, I am also a firm believer that if you are in your house alone and you sneeze and you hear someone say, “Bless You” that chances are you have a ghost. As the newest member of Outreach Paranormal Research, I am really looking forward to start doing some investigative work with the team and I am hopeful about the help I will be able to provide our clients. Maybe somewhere along the way I will be able to find answers to my own questions that I have.

I am Annie Thornton and have been a recent addition to the team. I have always been interested in the paranormal and what isn't seen with our eyes.
I have had experiences with the paranormal since childhood, however, I never really took notice until about 10 years ago, when I went on a haunted ghost tour of Alton, IL with a friend. I had a lot of different experiences there; feelings of sickness when sitting on prison rocks where people had died of smallpox, lights going on and off by themselves in different buildings, tuggings on my clothes, seeing shadow figures, and hearing a growl and laugh in my ear. I have also had a very unsettling experience at a friend's uncle's home with what she had told me was a female spirit residing there; the spirit liked the uncle but no one else, and this spirit made its presence known to me immediately.
These experiences have really drawn me into studying the unexplained, paranormal, my psychic abilities and history of places even more, and while I've never been on real investigations before, I hope to with this team.
I got involved with this team by seeing FB posts and reaching out to the founder, Christy, who I am friends with and worked with years ago.
